Cut Flower Garden

In spring 2024, we created some new beds in the north-west area of the garden specifically for growing cut flowers.

We grow the flowers from seed, making use of the polytunnel to bring on seedlings before planting them out into the designated cut flower beds.

In springtime, we enjoy ranunculus, anemones, camassia, daffodils and tulips, and it is always exciting to see what grows and what we can cut to make up bunches.

Our aim is to grow a variety of cut flowers using organic growing methods. The flowers are enjoyed by our volunteers and are also sold at our Open Day and to local shops, helping to raise money for the charity.
